Laundry Mach Operator

Duties include but are not limited to:
Operate eight washer/extractors (400 lb, 200 lb, 85 lb) following the proper sudsing, bleaching, rinsing, sourcing, and dying procedures. Monitor the liquid supply injection system ensuring chemicals are maintained at an acceptable level. Clean and maintain all tools, equipment, and work area. Keep simple records of loads processed. Determines which wash formula to use based on nature of the soiled items to be washed, equipment capacities and washability of fabrics. Operate washers, dryers, controls, conveyors and sling system in a safe manner. Knowledge of washer/extractor loading capacities, loads machines to optimum capacity to maximize energy conservation measures. Knowledge of correct wash compounds and formulas to ensure that the proper chemical balance is being maintained during different types of formulas. Ensures that an even flow of aseptically clean linens, uniforms and clothing are processed using equipment to full capacity. Receives, sorts, and processes through the washroom, all surgical linen from various facilities services. Capable of lifting wet laundry loads in excess of 50 pounds and pushing carts weighing in excess of 800 pounds. Loads and unloads washer/extractors using either carts or slings by use of aid, electrical or hydraulic control panels. Makes simple chemical pH and titration tests of break, suds, rinse, bleach, and sour operations. Remain alert to detect, report, and eliminate potential hazards. When not operating washers assists in other soiled laundry areas. Work Schedule:

Experience:

Physical Requirements:
He/she must be capable of lifting wet laundry loads in excess of 50 pounds and pushing carts weighing in excess of 800 pounds. Is subject to continuous and repetitive standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, pulling, pushing and lifting. Considerable physical effort is required in pushing certain laundry loads into washers. Working Conditions:
Most work is accomplished inside a building in a hot, humid noisy environment, will be subject to unpleasant odors, soiled and wet linens and wet floors. Temperatures in the work area may vary from extreme heat in summer to cold drafts in winter. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
