Mental Health provides nursing care within Mental Health Rehabilitation and Recovery Treatment to meet acute and residential care needs. Geriatrics & Extended Care provides skilled nursing care, and supportive personal care including the Restorative Care Program, Hospice Care, inpatient rehabilitation care in an inter-professional environment to include social, diversion, recreational, and spiritual care in a culturally transformed and patient centered environment. Specialty provides clinical nursing services through clinical nursing services through assessment of walk-in patients in an outpatient ambulatory clinic, preventative treatment, and consultation in the treatment of patients in various specialty areas. Duties below are listed but not limited to:
Assess, plan, implement, supervise, teach, evaluate and document patient care. Serves as an integral member of the treatment team and is responsible for helping to produce a therapeutic Mental Health. Cultural Transformation environment and plan of care to promote optimal health status. Demonstrates leadership and initiative in delivering and improving holistic care through collaborative strategies with others. Ensure compliance with the mission, vision and values of the medical center and/or VISN. Accountable for the delivery of quality, age-specific healthcare. Utilize critical thinking skills and sound clinical judgment to ensure positive patient outcomes. Demonstrates ethical practice. Participate in performance improvement activities to improve the quality of care and ensure performance measures are met and/or exceeded. Skill in basic Psych emergency management. Work Schedule:

Experience:
At least One year of Nursing experience in Mental Health/Psychiatry, Geriatrics, or other Specialty Areas Grade Determinations:
The following criteria must be met in determining the grade assignment of candidates, and if appropriate, the level within a grade:
Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing(BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse I Level III - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a BSN with approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with a BSN and no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree. References:

Heavy, moderate and light lifting and carrying from under fifteen (15) pounds up to forty-five (45)pounds and over; straight pulling, pushing, pulling hand over hand and reaching above shoulders for at least one to four (1-4) hours; use of fingers; both hands and legs required or prosthesis; walking and standing for at least (6) six hours; kneeling and repeated bending for at least two to four (2 -4)hours; repetitive motions for two to five (2-5) hours; ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously; near vision correctable at 13 to 16; far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and to 20/40 in the other; hearing (aid permitted) and emotional and mental stability.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
