Duties to include but not limited to:
Receives schedules, refers and contacts members of , leadership, supervisors and employees. Provides public contact support services such as answering the telephones, referring visitors, and providing information about the office and nursing services. Screens calls and personally answers calls when the requested information concerns routine and procedural requirements. Independently prepares MSS requests for approval by the Chief or RN Program Manager Serves as primary timekeeper for assigned nursing service Serves as Education coordinator and ensures training and education is logged into Learning Management System Incumbent proactively assists with preparation of position management requests when vacancies are anticipated Processes incoming and outgoing materials such as correspondence, reports, memorandums and other forms of written communication Responsible for maintaining office and administrative files in accordance with VA systems of records control. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:
Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-5 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Organizing and planning the activities of an office;maintaining suspense systems to ensure items assigned for action are completed and submitted timely; serving as liaison between offices and/or sections; reviewing correspondence and documents prepared for signature by management to ensure compliance with regulations, rules of grammar, format guidelines and policies of the facility; meeting and working with individuals at different organizational levels, public contacts and persons of diverse backgrounds to provide specialized information and/or to direct inquiries appropriately;composing correspondence on administrative matters;maintaining filing systems;preparing reports; serving as timekeeper; maintaining fund control point. There is no substitution education for specialized experience at the GS-6 grade level. A Qualified Typist is Required. Applicants who are not currently in a position that requires a qualified typist (ability to type 40 wpm) must submit documentation of typing proficiency dated within the past three years or self-certification of typing ability must be submitted by the closing date You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements:
The work is sedentary in nature. Typically the employee may sit comfortably in an adequately light and temperature controlled office to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending and carrying of light items like papers and books. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
