Program Support Assistant-Caregiver Support Program

Duties to include but not limited to:
Performs duties necessary for the receipt, intake, and indexing of health and administrative information related to the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) and the Program of General Caregiver Support Services (PGCSS). Assists with the day to day administrative duties associated with the Caregiver Support Program to include the PCAFC and the Program of General Caregiver Support Services (PGCSS). Independently coordinates information technology and communication for program events. Assists with workload and other data-driven reports, assists with new staff onboarding process, serves as CSP timekeeper, performs various clerical duties such as reminder calls and mailing correspondence, assists with action items and the implementation of new processes, assists with program events such as National Caregiver Support Month, Annual CSP Summit, Resource Fair and the like. Assist with appointment scheduling as needed. Independently drafts responses to routine requests for information. Prepares correspondence, reports, minutes, and records for final drafting, ensuring correct editing and formatting. Comply with all the acquisition regulations, both Federal VA and local. Program Support Assistant-Caregiver Support/01784-A To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 10/13/2020. Time-In-Grade Requirement:
Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-5 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Providing administrative clerical support functions supporting program (s); conducting data and information searches; compiling and analyzing data as requested; researching manual and computerized regulations and policies; using computer software to extract, monitoring equipment needs; ordering/maintaining supplies; understanding coordination of all aspects involved in care delivery; coordination effective communication between the providers, patients, specialty services, ancillary services and other practice groups; appointment scheduling;serves as timekeeper. The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
