Duties to include but not limited to:
Responsible for the installation, modification, testing, maintaining, repairing, inspecting, analyzing for defects, troubleshooting and elimination of malfunction in all the piping systems within the facility and campus wide. Installs, maintains, repairs and troubleshoots all plumbing fixtures, commercial and residential, to include toilets, urinals, sinks, lavatories, bathtub and showers, physiotherapy equipment, safety showers and eyewashes, bedpan sanitizers and digesters Installs, maintains, repairs and troubleshoots all plumbing faucets and control valves. Maintains, repairs, replaces and Installs sanitary anti storm waste lines, vent lines and all drainage lines. Assists other crafts and trades in diagnosing and repairing piping problems in the hospital systems, such as with the HVAC & Refrigeration Section on healing, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment to maintain proper climate control, and with the Maintenance Mechanics to make repairs to dietetic and laundry equipment. Incumbent repairs, replaces and installs piping, fittings, components and auxiliary equipment on these systems. Periodically checks high pressure piping, traps, valves, control fittings and auxiliary equipment of steam (low, medium and high pressure) equipment, gas-fired equipment and steam, gas and water distribution systems for defects. Disassembles, repairs, repacks, and replaces damaged fittings, pipe sections and/or fabricates replacements and eliminates leaks by repacking valves, replacing faulty fittings and replacing sections of pipe. Troubleshoots and repairs non-operating systems, using hand tools, both manual and powered, blueprints, schematics and written and verbal instructions and advice from manufacturers and suppliers. Installs all type of piping, to include, black Iron, galvanized, cast iron, malleable, copper, brass, plastic and glass by threading, soft soldering, silver soldering, pro press, brazing, and heat or chemically fusing fittings onto pipe sections or using gasket-type mechanical fittings. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Incumbent exerts heavy physical effort in performing such task as occasionally lifting and carrying heavy objects, stands, sloops, bends, kneels, crawls, climbs and works in tiring and uncomfortable positions, oftentimes in cramped, poorly Illuminated, warm and humid Interstitial and pipe spaces, In confined areas, using arm, shoulder and back muscles in affecting repairs, Installation and modifying piping. (weighing up to and exceeding 50 pounds).

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
